It doesn't draw at random. It builds the right schedule for each format and recomputes only the dynamic formats after scores, with a deterministic engine tested exhaustively.
How Individual Mexicano is built
After every round, players are sorted by the live standings, grouped four per court and split into balanced pairs.

What the engine decides, step by step
Fair rest for each format
With Automatic rounds, Americano distributes rests evenly; Mexicano prioritizes whoever has rested least. In King, the rest follows the ladder when the pair count is odd.
Varied partners & opponents
Individual Americano maximizes partner and opponent variety. In team mode, your partner stays fixed while opponents rotate.
Balanced matches
Individual Mexicano groups four and plays 1 + 4 against 2 + 3. Team Mexicano keeps pairs fixed and matches rank 1 with 2, rank 3 with 4, and so on.
Movement across courts
In King of the Court winners climb, losers drop, and the king defends Court 1.
Seeding by ranking
Optionally, the competitive rating (Glicko) orders the opening draw. The tournament only reads it and never changes the rating.
Ends on time
The round limit and auto-finish stop the tournament at the selected threshold, without generating rounds forever.
Deterministic & verified
The same tournament and the same inputs produce the same output. Generation, rests, standings and round progression are covered by regression tests for every format.
The formats
Five ways to make a night memorable
Every format, explained exactly as it works in the app - no empty promises.
Americano Individual
The classic night out: a full schedule generated at start, a new partner as rounds go, every point counts.
How it works
- The full schedule is visible from second one: every round, court and rest.
- Partners rotate and the schedule avoids repeats. The form states precisely whether rotation is exact, complete with minimal repeats, or the maximum possible coverage.
- Rests rotate strictly equally, and Automatic rounds give everyone exactly the same number of games.
- You can end the night with a decisive individual final: Top 4 or Top 8, first to 21.
Team Americano
Bring your partner and play a full round-robin: every team faces all the others.
How it works
- Every team faces all the others exactly once. The schedule uses the available courts efficiently and finishes in the fewest rounds needed.
- Team standings: points won, then point difference, then wins.
- Optionally, a championship finale: the top 2/4/8 teams enter a decisive knockout bracket.
- The champions are the final's winners, not the points leaders.
Mexicano Individual
Rounds are generated from the live standings, so opponents stay evenly matched.
How it works
- After each round, court 1 hosts ranks 1-4 (1 with 4 against 2 with 3), court 2 hosts 5-8, and so on.
- Round one uses seeding or a balanced draw.
- Latecomers join on the fly from the next round; slots and courts can change even mid-tournament.
- Dynamic format: choose up to 32 rounds or finish it manually earlier.
Team Mexicano
Fixed pairs, opponents picked every round from the team standings: the leader vs 2nd, 3rd vs 4th.
How it works
- You play the whole tournament with your partner, but every round is a match at your level.
- The round count is the stop mechanism; you can always finish manually, earlier.
- A withdrawal removes the whole pair; remaining games become walkovers.
King of the Court
Fixed pairs on a court ladder: win and move up, lose and move down. On the King's Court the winner stays.
How it works
- Pairs are formed automatically at start, by seeding or a balanced draw.
- Throne rounds rank first in the standings, then points.
- Needs at least 12 players, an even count, and at least 3 courts; extra courts simply stay unused.
- With an odd pair count, the pair losing the bottom court sits one round - the ladder rule, not unfairness.
The settings
Everything you can tune, in short
Every option in the create form does exactly what it says here. The full handbook lives in the app and your web account.
Individual or Teams
Americano and Mexicano choose at creation: rotating partners (per-player standings) or your own partner (per-pair standings). The choice defines the whole schedule.
Rounds, with honest math
In Individual Americano, Automatic chooses a balanced block in which everyone plays the same number of games. The recommendation states whether rotation is exact, complete with repeats, or maximum coverage. Mexicano and King use the round count as a stop threshold.
Points per match
In Americano and Mexicano the two scores add up to the selected total. Presets are 16, 20, 21 and 24, with 21 clearly marked as the no-tie option. Any value from 4 to 64 is available. King is a race to the selected target.
Slots, reserves, latecomers
Depending on the format, capacity goes up to 32 players; King requires at least 12 and an even count. Whoever misses a spot joins the waitlist and is promoted automatically. Only Individual Mexicano can accept late players after the start, from the next round.
Players and teams, with drag & drop
Before the start, reorder players intuitively and swap fixed-team partners with drag & drop on web, iOS and Android. After the start, schedule slots and statistics stay protected.
Courts and location
Set the courts you physically have (1-8); the app suggests the right number and never schedules past it. Location: club, GPS or city, with a mini-map check.
Who enters the score
Three modes: organizers and appointed operators; players submit and opponents confirm; or Open, where active participants with an account enter and correct scores directly. Only organizers mark a walkover. Switchable at any time.
Sharing, roles and access
Invite co-organizers and score operators, share the public page and create seven-day personal score links that need no account or email. Every link can be copied, sent on WhatsApp, shared and revoked.
Round timer
5, 8, 10, 12 and 15 minute presets or your own interval, synced across phones and the TV, with a local end alert while the tournament screen is open. Ideal for hourly courts.
Finals
Team Americano: a championship finale with the top 2/4/8 teams. Individual Mexicano/Americano: a Top 4/Top 8 final after the main phase is complete. The trophy always goes to the final's winner.
Visibility and fee
Public = shows in Discover with distance, format and date filters; private = link only. The fee is display-only: you collect it, not the app.
Editing after start
Name, visibility, score mode and the timer - any time. Mexicano also slots/courts. The rest is pinned by the generated schedule so played games cannot break.
Fixes and Undo
The organizer corrects any confirmed score with its author kept in the audit log. Undo steps back round by round; from round one it can return to setup, clearing the schedule and scores while preserving players, roles, links and settings.
Safety nets
Every action is re-checked server-side and the schedule is validated against that format's structure and rest rules, with no duplicated players or pairs. Nobody can write scores without permission.

TV mode
Put the tournament on any club screen: live scores, standings and the timer, plus a QR while joining is available. At the end it becomes a full recap with champions, podium and the night's stats.

padelgod.ro/t/<code>: the current or next round is highlighted, while tabs keep the full schedule, results, matrix and all-column standings available - no account needed.
The schedule, from second one
Americano shows every round from the start. In Mexicano and King, the Schedule tab keeps every generated round and reveals the next one as soon as it can be computed: who plays, on which court and who rests.
Full standings, live
Games, wins, ties, losses, points for and against, difference and win rate - the same columns during play and at the end. CSV export included.
Organize from the web too

Frequently asked questions
What tournament types can I run?
Individual or fixed-team Americano and Mexicano, plus King of the Court. Team Americano can include a championship finale, while individual Americano and Mexicano can end with a Top 4 or Top 8 final.
How are matches and standings generated?
Automatically. Americano writes the full schedule at the start; Mexicano and King of the Court generate rounds dynamically. Standings update on every score, and Americano/Mexicano rank by points won, point difference, then wins.
Can I invite players without an account?
Yes. You can add guests or invite players who have accounts, and anyone who does not get a spot joins the reserves list and is promoted automatically when a spot opens up.
What about players who arrive late?
In individual Mexicano you can add late players on the fly; they enter from the next round without affecting completed play. Fixed-team formats and King of the Court do not accept adding a single player after the start.
Is there a shot clock or time limit?
Yes, optionally: the timer starts automatically with round one and resets for every new round, synced across your phone, the players' phones and TV mode. It supports preset or custom intervals and an end alarm; the organizer can stop or restart it.
Do tournaments affect the competitive ranking?
No. Tournaments are social and fully separate from the competitive ranking, so you can have fun without pressure on your rating.
