An Apple Watch guide without fuzzy claims
Padel on Apple Watch: workout, scoring and setup
Apple does not currently list Padel as a native Workout app type. You can record a generic activity with Other, or use PadelGod for scoring and a dedicated match experience.
PADEL · DOUBLES
The short answer
If you only want activity tracking, open Workout → Add Workout → Other. If you want padel scoring, install PadelGod on iPhone and its companion Apple Watch app.
The Apple option: a generic workout
Apple's public catalog includes activities such as Tennis and Pickleball, but not Padel. Apple directs you to Other when there is no matching workout type.
- 1Open the Workout app on Apple Watch.
- 2Scroll to Add Workout.
- 3Choose Other and start the session.
This tracks time and general effort data. It does not add padel rules, sets or scoring.
The PadelGod option: match scoring on your wrist
The PadelGod companion app is made for the real on-court flow: scoring, offline continuity and iPhone sync.
- 1Install PadelGod on iPhone from the App Store.
- 2Check for PadelGod in Watch app → Available Apps and install it if it did not appear automatically.
- 3Open PadelGod on the Watch, grant the required permissions and start the match.
- 4Add points on your wrist; the score syncs when the phone is available.
Why Apple Fitness may display “Tennis”
PadelGod labels the experience and score as Padel inside its own product. For the HealthKit session it uses the Tennis activity type because the Apple integration available to the app has no Padel type. Apple Fitness may therefore say Tennis; the Padel score and context remain in PadelGod.
Which option should you choose?
| Capability | Workout → Other | PadelGod on Watch |
|---|---|---|
| Padel scoring | No | Yes |
| Time and effort | Yes, generic | Yes, as part of the match session |
| Works away from the phone | Yes | Yes, score syncs later |
| Label in Apple Fitness | Other | May appear as Tennis |
| Match context in PadelGod | No | Yes |
If the app is missing or does not sync
It is not on the Watch
Open the Watch app on iPhone, find PadelGod under Available Apps and tap Install.
The phone is not nearby
Keep scoring on the Watch. Reconnect the devices after the match and allow sync to finish.
Fitness data is missing
Check Health permissions for PadelGod on iPhone and make sure the Watch is worn and unlocked.
