About PadelGod

What is PadelGod?

The app for padel players: organize matches, keep score (including on Apple Watch), get a real competitive ranking, play tournaments and track your progress. It works globally, in any country.

How much does it cost? Is it free?

It is completely free. Every feature (ranking, tournaments, matchmaking, Apple Watch, social feed) is available at no cost.

Which platforms is it on?

On iPhone (App Store) and Apple Watch, in beta via TestFlight, with Android coming soon (join the waitlist), plus a web area on padelgod.ro using the same account.

Do I need a club account or a booking?

No. PadelGod is not a booking platform. Anyone, anywhere, can create an account and start playing right away.

What languages does it support?

Romanian and English, switchable at any time. The watch automatically follows your phone's language.

Can I also play tennis, not just padel?

Yes. Scoring also supports tennis (sets, tiebreak), with a ranking computed separately per sport.

Matchmaking

How does matchmaking work?

You create an open match or join one nearby. You get an alert when a match pops up near you (around a 15 km radius, optional and with quiet hours).

How do I find players near me?

From the near-me list of open matches and from push notifications when someone is looking for a fourth player in your area.

How do I join a match?

With a single tap on "Join". The organizer can require approval or leave joining open.

Is it safe? What about bad actors?

There is a reputation system, reports and a fair-play gate. You can report and block players who behave badly.

Tournaments

What tournament types can I run?

Mexicano, Americano and King of the Court, plus a Teams mode (fixed pairs) and a Championship phase (knockout) for the grand final.

How are matches and standings generated?

Automatically. Rounds, pairings and the tournament standings are computed for you as you enter the scores.

Can I invite players without an account?

Yes. You can add guests or invite players who have accounts, and anyone who does not get a spot joins the reserves list and is promoted automatically when a spot opens up.

What about players who arrive late?

In the open-ended formats (Mexicano, King of the Court) you mark them as late and add them on the fly: the upcoming rounds regenerate automatically to include them, without disturbing what has already been played.

Is there a shot clock or time limit?

Yes, optionally: you start a round timer that appears synced across every screen (your phone, the players' phones and TV mode), with a preset or custom interval and an alarm when it ends. You can also add a duration estimate, and some formats can auto-finish after a set number of rounds.

Do tournaments affect the competitive ranking?

No. Tournaments are social and fully separate from the competitive ranking, so you can have fun without pressure on your rating.

Ranking

How does the ranking work?

On a real Glicko system (rating plus uncertainty), not just accumulated points. It genuinely reflects your level against others.

Which matches count toward the ranking?

Only matches marked "Ranked" (competitive), with players who have accounts. "Friendly" matches do not affect your rating.

How does my rating go up or down?

Based on your opponents and the result: beating stronger players moves you up more, and the system also factors in how confident it is about your level.

What are the tiers?

Visual thresholds on top of the rating, so you can see at a glance where you stand and how far you are from the next level.

How do you prevent abuse or boosting?

Through anti-abuse rules, verification and score confirmation by both teams. Disputed scores are frozen until resolved.

Apple Watch & fitness

Can I keep score on Apple Watch?

Yes. You get full scoring on your wrist, synced live with your phone, even without taking the phone out of your pocket.

What fitness data does it track?

Heart rate, calories, effort zones and real heart-rate recovery (HRR) during the match.

Does it work without my phone nearby?

Yes. The watch keeps the score and syncs it automatically when the phone comes back in range.

Account, feed & data

What is the social feed?

You post text, photos or match results, with likes, comments (with replies and reactions) and bilingual notifications for your friends.

How do I control my data and privacy?

You manage your profile, match visibility and account data, and your information can be edited or deleted at any time.

Is there a web version?

Yes, on padelgod.ro: profile, matches, ranking and tournaments, using the exact same account as on your phone.
